1:08Tesla starts rolling out FSD v14.3.11: what's new and who gets it first
The latest version of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is reaching early testers on software 2026.33.5. HW4 cars get v14.3.11; HW3 cars get a 'Lite' version.
Tesla began rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.11 around October 7, bundled with software version 2026.33.5. As usual, the first wave goes to Tesla's Early Access group of experienced owners and selected influencers. Fleet tracking data suggested it was on less than 1% of cars in the first days.
Which cars get what
- HW4 (AI4) cars: FSD v14.3.11.
- HW3 cars: FSD v14.3 Lite, on the same 2026.33.5 firmware.
What's new in v14.3
The release notes match the previous version, v14.3.9. The main points:
- Faster reactions: a rewritten AI compiler and runtime that Tesla says cuts reaction time by 20%.
- Better training: upgraded reinforcement learning and a new vision encoder.
- Automatic Collision Evasion: can step in during manual driving if a frontal collision looks imminent or the driver seems inattentive.
- Parking: smarter choice of parking spot, with a parking pin shown on the map.
- Tricky situations: improved handling of emergency vehicles, school buses, small animals and complex traffic lights.
- Actually Smart Summon: top speed raised to 8 mph (13 km/h).
- Stats: the Self-Driving app now shows distance driven and your longest streak without intervention.
First impressions
Early testers were positive. One reported a smooth, intervention-free drive of about 25 minutes through New York City traffic in a Model S Plaid, including an unprotected left turn, ending with the car parking itself.
Coming next
Tesla lists expanded reasoning beyond destination handling, and pothole avoidance, as upcoming features.
FSD (Supervised) requires an attentive driver who is ready to take over at all times.
