1:12Cybertruck arrives in the Middle East: about 60 trucks delivered in Dubai on day one
Tesla has started Cybertruck deliveries in the UAE, its first market in the Middle East, and opened orders in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel. Here are the prices and why Europe is still off-limits.
The Cybertruck has found a new market. Tesla handed over about 60 Cybertrucks at a launch event in the desert near Dubai in January, starting deliveries in the United Arab Emirates.
The launch
- First in the region: the UAE is the Cybertruck's first Middle Eastern market, and its second outside North America after South Korea, where deliveries began in November 2025.
- Day one: around 60 trucks delivered in a single day, according to local reports a record for Tesla deliveries outside the US.
- More countries: Tesla also opened its configurator in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel.
The prices
- All-Wheel Drive: AED 404,900, about $110,000.
- Cyberbeast: AED 454,900, about $123,000.
That is well above US prices at the time: $79,990 for the AWD and $114,990 for the Cyberbeast.
Why the Middle East
Large vehicles, wide roads and buyers who like distinctive cars make the Gulf a natural fit. Just as important, the UAE and South Korea allow the Cybertruck without major modifications.
Why not Europe
In the European Union, the Cybertruck cannot be registered. Its sharp edges and stiff steel body raise problems with pedestrian protection rules, and its maximum permitted weight is above the 3,500 kg limit for a standard driving license. Germany refused exemption requests, saying the truck deviates too much from EU rules, and imported examples in the UK have been seized.
Will it help?
The Middle East market is small compared with the US, where sales almost halved in 2025. Analysts do not expect it to offset the decline, but it gives the Cybertruck a second life outside America.
