Points to watch
- MCU1 cars: the screen's memory chip can wear out; many cars were fixed or upgraded to MCU2 — ask for proof.
- Retracting door handles and air suspension are known weak spots on older cars.
- Very old Autopilot hardware (HW1, HW2.5) no longer gets meaningful updates.
- 2012 cars were part of the Takata airbag recall; check it was done.
What makes it special
- Performance versions with Ludicrous mode were among the quickest cars of their time.
- Some early cars have optional rear-facing child seats in the trunk.
